Our Facilities and Staff

Combined we have 37 single and double rooms plus six self contained units and a shared living facility for four people. Each room has a ceiling heating unit and an en-suite with a level access toilet and shower. All rooms have rails and ramps where necessary. All are fitted with an emergency call bell system. The entire facility is wheelchair accessible.

The Laura Fergusson Trust Canterbury Inc employs well-trained and dedicated support staff. The centre employs clinical and rehabilitation nurses, along with an occupational therapist. The services of a social worker, physiotherapist, psychologist and a speech and language therapist are contracted as required in order to meet the specific needs of each resident. Staff are on-site 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are available to residents at all times.

Residential Support Assistant

Currently, we have a vacancy in Residential Support. This is a 24.5 hours a week permanent part time, days and times are:
Wed 7am -11am,
Thu 7am-11am,
Fri 7am-3pm,
Sat 5pm -10pm
and Sun 7am-11am, you must be able to commit to ALL of these shifts to apply.

Preferrably you will have the following:
1. a valid first aid certificate
2. clean drivers licence
3. relevant qualification
4. some exprience as a carer
