My Story - by Bradley Morgan

I came to LFT for rehabilitation from sleepy Oamaru where I was living with my family about 18 months ago.

The rehabilitation at LFT involved EVERYTHING  starting with putting on my shoes and doing up zips, to moving my eyes so that I can cross the road safely, going to the gym, basic cooking and signing my name.

While at LFT I have been studying IT and I will continue this when I leave here.

When I first arrived at LFT it was really overwhelming- I find change generally very stressful especially dealing with new situations. Moving out will be scary and overwhelming again but I’m a bit more used to  it now and can deal with it better.

I’m moving to a flatting situation in Christchurch and I’ll be sharing with 6 other people of my age.

I’m looking forward to the next chapter of independent living that started with my move to LFT.
